XrayNews ("the Platform") provides automated news verification scores and analysis for informational purposes only. Nothing on this Platform constitutes journalistic advice, legal advice, financial advice, or professional opinion. Do not make decisions based solely on XrayNews content.

2. Accuracy of Scores

XrayNews confidence scores (0-100) and verification statuses (VERIFIED, UNVERIFIED, CONTESTED, FALSE) are generated by automated algorithms and AI models. These scores reflect the system's assessment based on available data and may be:

Incomplete — the system may not have access to all relevant sources
Incorrect — algorithms can produce false positives or false negatives
Outdated — scores reflect data available at the time of analysis
Misinterpreted — context, satire, or nuance may not be properly detected

XrayNews makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any score or verification status.

3. Not a News Source

XrayNews aggregates and analyzes content from third-party news sources. We do not employ journalists, do not conduct original reporting, and do not endorse the accuracy of aggregated content. Attribution is provided where possible.

4. No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XrayNews, its operators, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to: decisions made based on verification scores, reputational harm from incorrect assessments, or loss resulting from reliance on Platform content.

5. Automated System

XrayNews is a fully automated system. Human oversight is limited. Errors, biases in training data, and algorithmic limitations may affect results. The Platform may also generate analysis text using AI language models, which can produce plausible-sounding but incorrect information.

6. Third-Party Content

The Platform links to and aggregates content from external sources. XrayNews does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party websites.

7. Intellectual Property

XrayNews source code, design, and branding are the intellectual property of the Platform's owner. News headlines, summaries, and analysis generated by the Platform may include excerpts from third-party sources used under fair dealing/fair use principles.

8. Privacy

XrayNews collects minimal data: anonymous usage analytics via Cloudflare and voluntary account data (email) for bookmark syncing. We do not sell user data. See our database hosted on Supabase for data storage details.

9. Jurisdiction

The Platform is operated from Canada. These terms are governed by Canadian law. Users accessing the Platform from other jurisdictions do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
